Rev. Can. Jaime Edwards Acton

Executive Director

 

Jaime Edwards-Acton has served as the Executive Director of Jubilee since 2006 and oversees all project activities, supervises project staff, oversees all administrative and fiscal matters, and serves as liaison to the community and Jubilee’s Board of Directors. 

Jaime has been Rector of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church for 20 years, a vibrant, bilingual, multi-cultural congregation in the heart of Hollywood and home to Delaney Wright Fine Arts Preschool.  Jaime is co-chair of the Task Force on Sanctuary for the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles and a founding member of L.A. Voice, a Faith in Action-affiliated organization that works to improve lives and communities through congregation-based community organizing and leadership development.   He is also founder of Episcopal Enterprises, an organization that teaches social enterprise strategies for sustainability to non-profits and churches

Jaime’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of California at Santa Barbara and a Masters in Divinity from the Episcopal Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, Texas.

Laura

Administrator

 

Laura has served on the Jubilee administrative team since 2018. She originally hails from Columbus, Ohio and the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Ohio and has worked in Young Adult, Youth, and Children's Ministry for over ten years. Since relocating to Los Angeles in 2017, she has called Saint Stephen's Episcopal Church her home.

Angelica Garcia

Jubilee Jump Program Director

 

An artist and advocate, Angélica Garcia is the Program Director for Jubilee Jump. She’s the former Latino Ministries Missioner for the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Virginia and a pioneer of Latino/Immigrant Rights and Food Justice Ministries. She studied Art at the University of Maryland with a concentration in Photography. Her background is in Visual Arts, Marketing, and Social Justice. She is a bi-cultural/bilingual native of Los Angeles, CA and the daughter of immigrants to the U.S. She grew up participating in gymnastics, track and field, cross country and later became an aerobics instructor. Angélica enjoys working with youth and is passionate about equality in underserved communities.

Payton Hoegh

Communications Director / Jubilee Design Creative Director / Jubilee Year Director

 

Payton is a creative, driven, and curious communications professional with over a decade of experience as a graphic designer, illustrator, web builder, and digital media specialist. He holds a Bachelor's in English with a focus in Communications and a Master's of Divinity. Payton is passionate about community building, story telling, ecology, environmentalism, and social justice. In addition to his work with Jubilee, he is founder and faith leader for the Church of All Wanderers.

 

Leilani Banday

Jubilee Design Program Coordinator

 

Leilani harnesses a Bachelor's in Graphic Design through her professional work, and through a multiplicity of artistic endeavors. Passionate about community connection, creative collaboration and conveying truth through the art of graphic/web design and storytelling, Leilani revels in the prospect of facilitating space for clients to usher their visions into fruition.
